A rare SalmsonGS8 which represents the state of the art Grand Prix engineering the GS8 was fast, reliable and arguably the most successful French light car of its day, winning in the region of 500 events in the late 1920s /early 1930s and certainly a match for competitors like Bugatti and Amilcar.

On Tuesday 24th October 2023 the Trustees of the Village present, on screen, Allelujah (certificate 12).
The screening starts at 7.30pm, with doors open from 7pm.
Authored by Alan Bennett, Allelujah is a warm and deeply moving story about old age.
When the geriatric ward in a small Yorkshire hospital is threatened with closure, the hospital decides to fight back by galvanizing the local community: They invite a news crew to film their preparations for a concert in honour of the hospital's most distinguished nurse.
What could go wrong?
Allelujah celebrates the spirit of the elderly patients whilst paying tribute to the deep humanity of the medical staff battling with limited resources and ever-growing demand.
Tickets will be available for sale from 2nd October exclusively from Wayne Pullen, Family Butcher of Milborne Port. Ticket prices have been maintained again (£5.00 per person in advance, and £6.00 on the door). As usual, a limited wine and beer bar will be available, and continuing this season, we can accept payment for "on the Door" tickets (and bar items) by credit or debit card.

A 2012 Yamaha XF50 Giggle, signed by famous Yamaha factory riders, is going under the Charterhouse gavel in their 26th October classic bike auction with the proceeds of sale donated to the Two Wheels for Life charity.
