AGREED OUTCOMES  19/12/2011

1.  Anti social behaviour in Manor Road
2.  Parking on or too near the junctions so as to cause an obstruction
3.  Anti social behaviour around Gunville Gardens

OUTCOMES

 1. Extra patrols have been carried out in the area, after receiving complaints of anti social behaviour in Manor Road.  Groups of youngsters have been spoken to about their behaviour and advised to watch their language and to keep the noise down. I have explained that they must be mindful and respectful of others including the residents of the properties in that area. The situation will be monitored.
2.  This can be a real problem when vehicles park too close to the any junction. It can affect people’s visibility when exiting or entering a road, it can also cause an unnecessary obstruction and this is a ticketable offence. When you park your vehicle just think twice, “Am I leaving enough space for other vehicles to exit Coldharbour safely”.
3.  The situation is being monitored since I have received a complaint of youths hanging around being loud and anti social. I have spoken to youngsters and explained the effect that noise has on the residents and that they need to respect the residents peace and quiet. I will continue to monitor the situation with extra patrols, but I would ask if anyone is suffering from this problem please advise me.

The next Parish Council Meeting is on 20th December 2011 at 7.30pm. These are held in the Town Hall, London Road in Milborne Port. All are welcome.

community of what we will hopefully get installed and try to tick off as many things as possible on the wish list. Watch this space for more information.

Milborne Port Primary School

I have not been able to get into school this month for my usual Wednesday lunch club at school. I will continue to run this in the New Year, as I know it is a great way to get the children to talk about matters that may be affecting them. It is also a great way to interact with the children.
I arranged with the school and some of the residents at Wheathill Close for the choir to attend and sing to them. This happened last year and it was a great success. The school choir attended and sang carols to the residents. The residents were so thrilled and everyone had a great time. The school work really hard with the choir and they sing absolutely brilliantly. Some of the residents said they were very good and they sang like angels and they would love for them to attend more regular in the year as they enjoyed it so much. The hildren were thrilled after the singing as the residents had bought each child a selection box.
Tuesday Lunch Club

I attended their Christmas lunch and again the school choir came and sang. The choir sand to everyone while they enjoyed their Christmas meal and some of the year 6 children helped out again by serving the meals to everyone. Everyone remarked on how well they sang and what lovely voices they had. They were thrilled to see the children their and the children went around and spoke to everyone and wished them all a Happy Christmas. I feel this is a great initiative and everyone involved seems to be enjoying the young and older mix, and they all seem to be getting something out of it. This will continue after Christmas with all children in year 6 being able to attend at least once, with parents permission.
Burglary Update
I would like to let everyone know that although we suffered with 5 burglaries recently in Milborne Port, the persons responsible have been caught and the case is going to be going to court. People from the burglaries have received some of their items back and we continue to investigate. GOOD NEWS THOUGH.
I would still like to remind everyone to be mindful and keep your windows and doors locked. When leaving rubbish out please don’t advertise all the new presents you have received for Christmas by leaving out the boxes
Winter Checks
Now the winter is coming please make sure YOU ARE SAFE AND CAN BE SEEN WHEN OUT AND ABOUT. This is an ideal time to check your torches and get out your fluorescent and reflective clothing. Please also check lights on bikes and vehicles to make sure they are clean and working.

Wishing you all a Happy Christmas and New Year.
