First class, twin room with an en suite bathroom (bath and shower) and a garage if required.  Tea, coffee a digital radio and TV are in the room.  Local, fresh farmhouse, Aga-cooked food for breakfast.

Old Barn is a Victorian, single story barn situated in the rural hamlet of Ashington which is midway between Mudford on the A359 and Ilchester on the B3151, just a few miles from historic town of Sherborne and the modern town of Yeovil with easy access to both the A30 and A303 main roads.

We are ideally placed for schools, business, tourist attractions, events and festivals in Dorset and Somerset.   Hikers and bikers are welcome.  The Monarch’s Way long-distance hiking trail passes through Ashington.  We are also ideally placed for access by good roads to the Olympic sailing events at Portland this coming summer (away from the fray with no increase in rates) as well as exploring Hardy’s Wessex.  See the 2012 Olympics Website.

We are open all year round and bookings are essential.  Our rates per night are £32.50 per person (£65 for a double) and £40 per person for single occupancy with a discount on any 3 night consecutive stay between Monday and Friday.  We regret that we are unable to accept credit cards, children or dogs (resident JR).  No smoking on the premises.
