The Grange is a glorious country house built 200 years ago of stone from the Purbeck Hills. It is situated within its own beautiful, formal gardens, and lies just one mile from the historic town of Sherborne.

Dining by candlelight in the restaurant has always been a great pleasure and over the years The Grange has established a reputation for serving cuisine of the highest standard. Our menus prepared by our Head Chef,  offer both traditional style cooking using the finest local produce and imaginative dishes from around the world, offering the discerning diner a truly memorable experience.

The wide ranging wine list is carefully chosen and offers a variety of wines from the different regions of the world. Our trained staff will help you select the perfect wine to complement your dining experience. Our well stocked bar can also cater for most tastes!

Our recently constructed Conservatory provides an ideal setting for breakfast and is also regularly used as a venue for smaller business meetings and conferences.

The Grange provides individually furnished en-suite bedrooms, all with colour TV, Tea and Coffee facilities and Direct Dial Telephone. All the bedrooms are generously proportioned, some having a patio and direct access to the gardens . Two rooms have balconies overlooking the gardens. All bedrooms are non-smoking rooms.

Condé  Nast Johansens are delighted to announce that "The Grange"  has been shortlisted as a finalist for their 2009 Condé Nast Readers Award.
 
The winner will be announced at the Annual Awards for Excellence ceremony on 11th November 2008 at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London.
Finalists and winners are chosen through a selection process drawn from guest nomination forms, guest survey letters and regional inspector reports.

The Annual Awards for Excellence are in their 25th year and are recognized by both consumers and the industry.
